The Little GEMS curriculum, our highly research-backed structured programme for Early Years Foundation Stages, is based around the way children naturally learn. Our comprehensive Foundation Stages Curriculum is designed using the UK’s EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) framework and aligned to the Indian NCF (National Curriculum Framework).
It beautifully amalgamates best practices from Montessori, Lev Vygotsky and Reggio Amelia and Piaget approaches to learning. In particular, the curriculum is developed around 7 key learning areas:

At GEMS Education, we believe that learners are innately curious, and must be encouraged to inquire and speak out their thoughts in an emotionally safe environment. This enables them to be confident and experiment to learn through play-based exploration.  In a Montessori self-directed prepared learning environment, children learn amidst an array of controlled tasks designed for free exploration. As they absorb new learning consciously as well as unconsciously, completion of tasks helps them gain confidence and self-reliance. As young learners construct their own learning they are encouraged to collaborate with peers and develop social intelligence skills through Vygotsky’s social constructivism. Learning at their own pace amidst vertical integration, our early learners document their understanding in portfolios expressing themselves in their very own language of art in Reggio style.
